Welcome to TrumanShea Longhorns   

TrumanShea Longhorns is located in Giddings Texas, between Austin and Houston.

With the desire to get out of the city and back to the country, my husband, Jeremy and I bought a little ranch just outside of Giddings and relocated from Austin in 2021. 
Everyone knows that once you buy a ranch, you have to put some animals on it.  So we began looking into getting a couple of cows to graze the pastures. 
After doing research on all the different cattle breeds, I became more drawn to Texas Longhorns. Initially, we had just set out to buy and raise a couple of steers to have as yard art.
It wasn't long after, that we had an opportunity to buy our first cow, which also happen to be bred.  Once that baby hit the ground, we were hooked.
We felt that if they were going to consider breeding and expanding our herd, we wanted to make sure they were doing things right from the beginning. 
So over the next year, we set out to visit and learn as much as we could from other very successful and well respected Texas Longhorn breeders across the state. 
Since then, we have been committed to developing a consistent breeding program for our TrumanShea Longhorns. 

We aim to produce a good balance of the quality attributes that we can be proud of and enjoy. 
While horn and color are important, we also really focus on body confirmation, disposition and temperament.  

We enjoy meeting new and seasoned breeders.

We also welcome those who are just interested in getting up close and personal or take photos with real Longhorns. 
Several of our Longhorns have been photographed and used for all sorts of fun school art projects, many of which have been entered into contest at the Houston Rodeo.
